Description
Since 1797, 6 generations of winegrowers have succeeded one another on this property. But it is as early as the 14th century that the place is mentioned in writings, making Domaine De Boisseyt the oldest in the village of Chavanay.
Domaine De Boisseyt was handed over in 2017 to Romain Decelle, who took over from Agnès and Didier Chol, who for 30 years had worked on the most emblematic terroirs of the Northern Rhône.
Located on very beautiful plots in the Saint-Joseph and Condrieu appellations, the Domaine is also lucky enough to have a vineyard in the Côte-Blonde in the Côte-Rôtie appellation. Between the Rhône and the plateau, the 11 hectares of plots are located on sloping hillsides supported by "chaillés", low stone walls.
Anxious to respect the heritage of this old House, the new winemaker has started a more reasoned approach to agriculture, built a new cellar, created a reception area for visitors and moved upmarket.
A harmony between heritage and modernity characterises the Domaine De Boisseyt today.
